The Main Catalogue of Diplomatarium Suecanum (SDHK)

Information on Swedish charters or charters concerning Sweden until 1540 has been collected in the register of Diplomatarium Suecanum, Svenskt Diplomatariums huvudkartotek (SDHK). The register contains information on more than 40.000 charters and allows the possiblity to search for e.g. persons, places, dates and facts. It is also possible to search within those charter texts that have been edited in the book series of Diplomatarium Suecanum. In SDHK, detailed information is given on the sources and tradition of the charters, i.e. how and in what form they have been preserved. References to literature are often found.

SDHK is also available as a downloadable dataset (in Swedish). Note that the downloadable dataset is not updated as frequently as the SDHK in this search service.
