Military maps and drawings
Map and drawing collections of the Military Archives

Mapping is an important part of war and defense. That is why the Military Archives' collections of historical maps are so extensive. The collections include both Swedish and foreign topographic maps, as well as cities and fortresses from around the world. In addition, there are nautical charts and maps and plates describing a particular event – for example, a battle, a siege or a route of march. The collections also include a large number of drawings of military buildings, weapons, ships, vehicles, aircraft, flags, uniforms and more.
