RE: Swedish Archives Project, Fabbe Collection.
The Skarstedt Subgroup of the Fabbe Collection was microfilmed February 4-6 and processed February 9. The number is PNW 70.
A Few problems with the order of the collection were encountered, thus the information on the inventory and the filmed material do not always agree.
The problems were:
1. Letters were often out of order in their folders, or in wrong folders.
2. Misspellings on inventory.
3. Letters from the same person not always together.
4. Letters classified "unidentified" when the name actually appeared on letterhead or could be deciphered by a Swedish-reading person.
Targets were made for the main headings and alphabetical divisions indicated on the inventory. Small tabs with names of the letter writers appear in the upper left corner of the frames, weherever possible.
Due to the condition or color of some of the material, a few of the letters came out almost illegible on the film, but for the most part the film is satisfactory.
