In his meeting with Christian IV, Spens has learnt some important things, but since his servant, who writes his letters in Latin, was away and he would not entrust this to others, he wrote down in his own language [Scotch] an account of the conversation and instructed the bearer of the letter, who is his relative and has been well versed in all his affairs for twenty years, to explain everything to AO.
